Dear St. Luke's Families,

As many of you may have heard, Ginny Bachman is retiring from St. Luke’s after 14 years of leading the school’s Admissions and Financial Aid efforts. Though it’s difficult to imagine the Hilltop without Ginny, we are pleased to announce we have found a wonderful new Director of Enrollment Management, Jason Giffen, who begins his new role on July 1, 2022.

In the words of Mark Davis, we were looking for “a leader of both strategic and operational excellence.” Jason is just such a leader. He comes to us after a decade of experience as the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, IL, where he also taught seminars on current events and coached football and golf. Prior to North Shore, he served as the Associate Dean of Admissions at The Lawrenceville School

Jason was selected following a national search conducted in partnership with industry-leading executive search firm Carney, Sandoe & Associates. As part of the interview process, Jason met with St. Luke’s students, faculty, staff, and administrators, including incoming Head of School Dr. Mary Halpin Carter.

Ginny’s colleagues look forward to celebrating her at a retirement dinner this spring. “It's going to be very difficult to leave a place that has meant so much to my whole family," Ginny shared. "Jason has positive energy and a wealth of experience that will complement our Admissions team and benefit our families. The St. Luke’s community is in good hands.”

We all look forward to giving Jason, his wife Lizzy, and sons Tucker and Wyatt, a warm welcome into the St. Luke’s community.

Sincerely,

Jim Foley
Assistant Head of School for Leadership and Innovation
